Sea Of Heartbreak (4f Rock Of Gibraltar-Top Forty, by Rainbow Quest) capped a memorable day for Rock Of Gibraltar with a swooping victory in the G2 Prix de Royallieu at Longchamp. The Roger Charlton-trained filly, a Listed winner at Newbury in July, was facing her toughest task to date but she swooped late under Olivier Peslier to comfortably beat Miss Crissy by half a length. Owner/breeder Victoria Hardisty told sportinglife.com afterwards: "We're absolutely delighted, as we bred her. She could run in the E P Taylor Stakes in Canada later this month, but it hasn't been decided yet."
