Shadn Becomes The Latest Winner By No Nay Never

The list of winners by No Nay Never continues to grow every day, with Shadn (2f No Nay Never - Amethyst, by Sadler’s Wells) becoming the latest addition on Wednesday when racing clear on debut at Kempton.

Twelve lined up for the Maiden Fillies’ Stakes over six furlongs, with the eventual winner positioned in mid-division by Oisin Murphy. Travelling well two furlongs out, the bay was ridden to quicken up the inside and asserted entering the final furlong. She soon went clear, beating Fair Pass by three and a quarter lengths.

Trained by Andrew Balding for Alrabban Racing, Shadn was bred by Barronstown Stud out of Amethyst, an impressive winner of the Irish 1,000 Guineas Trial and runner-up in the main event. Amethyst is also a full-sister to top-class miler King Of Kings (Sadler’s Wells) and Group 3 Athasi Stakes winner Lucky (Sadler’s Wells).
