Smart Debut Winner By Ten Sovereigns
Lunar Streets (2f Ten Sovereigns - Dry Your Eyes, by Shamardal) emerged as a smart prospect when making a winning debut in Wednesday’s six furlong maiden at Leicester.
Partnered by Josephine Gordon, the Ed Dunlop-trained newcomer raced towards the back of the field in the early stages and was shaken up to make headway after halfway. Ridden to lead inside the final furlong, she kept on well to win by a length and a quarter from Marie Ellen (Starspangledbanner).
Owned by Paul Turner, Lunar Streets becomes the first winner bred by Mountarmstrong Stud out of Dry Your Eyes. She continues a profitable period for first season sire Ten Sovereigns, who celebrated a smart maiden winner at Goodwood the previous day.
