Croke Park (Walk In The Park) Wins The 4YO Maiden At Dromahane

Smart Four Year Old Kicks Off Walk In The Park Double

Croke Park (4g Walk In The Park - Toledana, by Protektor) earned a trip to the Goffs UK Aintree Sale when landing Sunday’s four-year-old maiden at Dromahane.

Denis Murphy’s charge finished second on debut to Barry The Butcher (Walk In The Park) last month and was sent off favourite to go one better under Harley Dunne. The bay overcame some traffic problems to lead after the final fence and kept on well to score by a length.

Bred by AV Bloodstock, he completed the first leg of a double on the day for Grange Stud sire Walk In The Park. At Castletown-Geoghegan later that afternoon, Porter In The Park (5m Walk In The Park - Benefit Of Porter, by Beneficial) also improved on a debut second to land the mares maiden for Mark Fahey.

Johnny Barry rode John Redmond’s homebred to make most of the running, guiding the bay to a two and a half length success.
