Smart Newcomer Becomes Latest Winner By Churchill

Majestic Warrior (3c Churchill - Zam Zoom, by Dalakhani) emerged as a useful prospect when making a winning debut at Wolverhampton on Wednesday.

James Tate’s charge was sent off the even-money favourite for the nine and a half furlong maiden, with Rossa Ryan slotting the bay in behind the leaders. Pushed along from two furlongs out, he showed signs of inexperience when making heading, before being ridden to lead inside the final furlong. He ran on well to win by a comfortable two and a quarter lengths.

Owned by Saeed Manana, Majestic Warrior was bred by Rabbah Bloodstock. The son of Churchill is a half-brother to Ebor Handicap winner Fujaira Prince.
