Jetara (Walk In The Park) Makes A Winning Debut At Fairyhouse

Smart Newcomer Leads Home 1-2 For Walk In The Park

Jetara (4f Walk In The Park - Jelan, by Milan) emerged as a smart prospect when leading home a 1-2 for Walk In The Park in the mares’ bumper at Fairyhouse on Saturday.

Held up in midfield by Michael O’Sullivan, Jessica Harrington’s newcomer made headway from over three furlongs out and was pushed along approaching the two furlong marker. Ridden inside the final furlong, she ran on well to score by a length and a quarter from the well-supported Walk In The Brise (Walk In The Park), who drew seven lengths clear of the third.

“She’s won like a smart filly,” Kate Harrington later commented. “Gerry sold all the mares two years ago, so it's great he has another good one.”

Owned and bred by Gerard McGrath, Jetara is out of a full-sister to Harrington’s top-class hurdler Jezki (Milan).
