Son Of Gleneagles Puts Experience To Good Use

The Sir Michael Stoute-trained Oslo (2g Gleneagles - Intercontinental, by Danehill) looked a progressive type when scoring over a mile at Chelmsford on Tuesday evening.

Third over the same trip last time out at Goodwood, the Juddmonte Farms homebred took a keen hold toward the back of the field and began to make headway from the two furlong pole. Leading inside the final furlong, he ran on strongly to score by a length from London Calling (Requinto).

Oslo is a half-brother to useful miler Abseil, out of top-class race mare Intercontinental. He becomes the latest winner by first season sire Gleneagles, whose first crop also includes Group 2 scorer Royal Lytham and Windsor Castle Stakes winner Southern Hills.
