Koshari (Walk In The Park) Wins The Grade B Baroneracing Com Handicap Hurdle At Punchestown

Son Of Walk In The Park Lands Valuable Hurdle

Koshari (9g Walk In The Park - Honor May, by Balleroy) bounced back to form to land the valuable Grade B BARONERACING.COM Handicap Hurdle on the final day of the Punchestown Festival.

Saturday saw the Willie Mullins-trained gelding drop back to two and a half miles, with Ricky Doyle giving the joint top weight a patient ride to lead close home and deny stablemate Ciel De Niege by half a length on the line.

Bred by a partnership including M Bocq Verdys and R Mauri-Amoros, Koshari earned €59,000 on the day for owner Mrs S Ricci. The Ricci and Mullins partnership is, of course, no strange to success with sons of Walk In The Park, with Douvan and Min providing them with some unforgettable days.

Earlier that afternoon at Uttoxeter, Friend Or Foe (6g Walk In The Park - Mandchou, by Mansonnien) made a winning chase debut for Paul Nicholls and owners Gordon and Su Hall.

A three-time winner over hurdles, the bay was sent off favourite for the two mile Beginners Chase under Bryony Frost. Racing prominently throughout, he was travelling best of the field approaching the second last and ran on well on the run-in to win by four lengths and three quarters.
