Stakes Winner She’s So Beautiful Leads Juvenile Double For Air Force Blue
It was a big day for Air Force Blue’s juvenile runners when he registered two winners from the crop in only a few hours, led by Khozan Juvenile Fillies Sprint Stakes winner She’s So Beautiful (2f Air Force Blue x Beautiful One, by Medaglia d’Oro).
Looking to take her record to three-from five at Gulfstream Park, She’s So Beautiful was close to the leader early on in the seven furlong dirt race with Samy Camacho aboard. The Air Force Blue daughter crept closer in the turn and was ready to make a serious challenge racing into the stretch.
It was a three way duel to the line but She’s So Beautiful proved to be the best, winning by a neck to become her sire’s third stakes winner.
A homebred for Palm Beach Racing, the Carlos David-trained filly’s victory came almost exactly three hours after Top Gun Girl (2f Air Force Blue x Moanin, by Medicean) broke her maiden at Keeneland.
Sprinting 5 ½ furlongs on the turf, Top Gun Girl was the filly everyone was chasing from the start when the Wesley Ward filly bolted to the lead. She proved to be much the best when scoring a two length victory under John Velazquez as the race favorite.
Bred by Cobra Bloodstock and Lynch Bages, she races for Slam Dunk Racing.
Top Gun Girl is the second winner from three to race out of the two-time winning Medicean mare Moanin. A daughter of Group III winner Seltitude, Moanin is also a half-sister to stakes winner Lover Man from the family of Maxio’s Group I winner Diamanta.
She’s So Beautiful is one of five winners out of the winning Medaglia d’Oro daughter Beautiful One. That mare is a granddaughter of multiple graded stakes winner and Grade I placed Stylish Star.
