Talented mare Stars to Shine (5m Tale of the Cat x Gaily Lady, by Silver Hawk) returned to her best form at Woodbine on Sunday to win the $97,795 Trillium Stakes.
The Mark Frostad trained mare turned in a tenacious effort to win the 1 and 1/18th mile feature by a nose in a driving finish.
Raced by The Grange House Partnership, Stars to Shine has the overall record of five wins and three placings from 11 starts with prizemoney of $300,105.
Stars to Shine is one of six winners from Gaily Lady, a daughter of Grade I winner Gaily Gaily.
