Ten Sovereigns Colt Strides Clear At Saint Cloud

Zulu Kingdom (2c Ten Sovereigns – Zindziswa, by Smart Strike) made a bright start to her career when drawing clear to win Tuesday’s seven furlong maiden at Saint Cloud.

The Andre Fabre-trained newcomer broke smartly from a wide draw and tracked the leader for much of the way under Alexis Pouchin. Leading with a quarter mile left to race, he was shaken up to go clear soon after and kept on well to score by three and a half lengths.

Owned by Madame Andre Fabre, Zulu Kingdom is a half-brother to the same connections’ Listed winner Zulu Warrior (Saxon Warrior). Bred by Ecurie Peregrine, he hails from the second crop of Ten Sovereigns.
