Ten Sovereigns Filly Talks The Talk On Debut
Love Talk (2f Ten Sovereigns – Lovelocks, by High Chaparral) made a perfect start to her career when winning the fillies’ maiden at Redcar on Tuesday.
The Grant Tuer-trained newcomer was sent off second favourite for the six furlong contest and soon settled in midfield under Sam James. Making headway from two furlongs out, she was pushed along to challenge entering the final furlong and was ridden to lead soon after. She kept on well to win by two and a half lengths, with another length back to the favourite in third.
Owned by Nick Bradley Racing and partner, Love Talk is a half-sister to Saturday’s Silver Bowl winner Nellie Leylax (Calyx). The second crop daughter of Ten Sovereigns was bred by Glenvale Stud and Edgeridge Ltd.
