Do It With Style (Ten Sovereigns) winning at the Curragh

Ten Sovereigns Newcomer Does It In Style

Do It With Style (2f Ten Sovereigns - Sodashy, by Noverre) proved well-named when making a smart debut in Monday’s six furlong maiden at the Curragh.

Well-supported in the market, Donnacha O’Brien’s newcomer soon settled towards the back of the field under Gavin Ryan and began to make headway from two furlongs out. Keeping on well approaching the final furlong, she ran on strongly to assert close home and led by a length on the line.

Speaking after the race, the winning trainer said, “Do It With Style is a filly we thought was smart but we were worried about the ground. She was a bit green early and did well to pick up the way she did. She might be an Albany filly.”

Bred by Tom Darcy and Vincent McCarthy, Do It With Style sold for €165,000 as a foal and went on to fetch €235,000 at the yearling sales. Owned by Leonard Green, the daughter of Ten Sovereigns kicked off a fine day for her sire line at the Curragh, with newcomer His Majesty (No Nay Never) winning the Listed First Flier Stakes and Visualisation (No Nay Never) taking the Group 2 Mooresbridge Stakes.

Ten Sovereigns enjoyed a perfect start to his stallion career when his very first runner Brighter (Ten Sovereigns) made a winning debut for Aidan O’Brien.
