Two up for Mastercraftsman

Mastercraftsman’s perfect start to his stud career continued on Thursday when the Marquesa de Moratalla’s Double Look (2c Mastercraftsman-Paper Profits, by Kendor) scored on his debut in France.

Mastercraftsman’s only previous starter, Master Carpenter (2c Mastercraftsman-Fringe, by In The Wings), was a winning debutant at Leicester last month and Double Look appeared highly promising after beating a dozen rivals in the five-furlong maiden at Bordeaux-Le Bouscat.

Double Look, who comes from the family of French 1,000 Guineas heroine Riverqueen, is home-bred the Marquesa de Moratalla.
