Forty Under (Uncle Mo) winning the Colonel E.R. Bradley Stakes at Fair Grounds

Uncle Mo Son Returns to Winner’s Circle in E.R. Bradley

Uncle Mo’s Grade III winner Forty Under (6g Uncle Mo x Argent Affair, by Black Tie Affair) visited the stakes winner’s circle yet again on Saturday when he was a determined winner of the Colonel E.R. Bradley Stakes at the Fair Grounds.

The 1 1/16 mile turf race saw Forty Under race two paths wide alongside the pacesetting Two Emmys, keeping pressure on that one throughout the race. As they raced down the stretch, Forty Under worked hard to catch that pacesetter with Halo Again also entering the scene to make a bid.

It was a two horse race in the final strides with Forty Under getting his nose in front as they flashed under the line.

Trained by Mike Maker for Three Diamonds Farm, Forty Under took his record to seven top three finishes in 17 starts for over $352,000 in career earnings.

The gelding was bred by Cedar Hill LLC out of the stakes winning Argent Affair, who has two winners from three to race. Argent Affair is also a half-sister to three stakes placed runners and out of the stakes-placed Caty’s Quest.

Forty Under is the second stakes performer of the year for Uncle Mo, putting him third behind the leading Munnings.
