Walk In The Park Mare Lands Listed Chase
Pink In The Park (7m Walk In The Park – Pink Hat, by Presenting) bounced back to gain a deserved black-type win in the Listed Mares’ Chase at Clonmel on Thursday.
Held up by Danny Mullins, the Willie Mullins-trained mare made headway from three out and was ridden to lead approaching the final fence. She stayed on well on the run-in to score by four lengths, with another four and a half lengths back to the third.
“It was a good performance,” the winning rider commented. “She jumped great across the top and battled well at the finish. She has had a good consistent summer and is going the right way.”
Pink In The Park is now a six-time winner and has placed at Listed, Grade 3 and Grade 1 level. The Walk In The Park mare is owned by the Roaringwater Syndicate and was bred by Mrs J Mullins. Her five-year-old full-brother Chart Topper (Walk In The Park) ran out an impressive winner on his hurdle debut last time out.
