Well Bred Gleneagles Filly Gets Off The Mark
Tuesday saw Missy Perfect (3f Gleneagles - Tickled Pink, by Invincible Spirit) become the latest first crop winner for Gleneagles when taking the Prix Gris Perle at Saint-Cloud.
Ten lined up for the six furlong maiden, with Alexis Badel riding the eventual winner close to the pace. Ridden from the two furlong marker, the chesnut picked up well to win by a neck.
Trained by Henri Devin, Missy Perfect had shown promise when finishing third on her seasonal return earlier in the month, the same position she filled on debut last October. Trevor Stewart’s homebred is out of dual Group 3 winner Tickled Pink, herself a half-sister to top racemare and broodmare Halfway To Heaven.
