Easy Mover (Wotton Bassett) Wins On Debut At Fairyhouse

Well-Bred Wootton Bassett Filly Makes Smart Debut

Easy Mover (2f Wootton Bassett – Rain Goddess, by Galileo) shaped like a smart filly when finishing strongly to win Friday’s two-year-old maiden at Fairyhouse.

Racing prominently throughout the six furlong contest, the Aidan O’Brien-trained newcomer was ridden from two furlongs out and ran on well to lead close home. She kept on under Wayne Lordan to win by a head, with another two and a quarter lengths back to the third horse.

“She's a filly that's been going nicely at home,” Ballydoyle representative Chris Armstrong said after the race. “She's now put herself in the mix for Ascot, for the six, or we could keep her for the Airlie Stud Stakes at the Curragh on Derby weekend.”

The Coolmore homebred is a half-sister to Listed Dee Stakes victor San Antonio and highly-rated stablemate The Liffey (No Nay Never).
