Mega Double Gains Her Second Hurdle Win Resized

Westerner Mare Doubles Up Over Hurdles

Mega Double (5m Westerner - Distant Dreams, by Saddler’s Hall) followed up on a fine second just two days prior to take the Novices Hurdle at Cartmel on Monday.

A nine length winner of a maiden hurdle over two and a half miles in July, Monday saw her sent off favourite over two furlongs farther. Brian Hughes rode her in a prominent position, improving to lead before the the last and was driven out to score by nine lengths.

Trained by James Moffatt for Mark Scott, Mega Double becomes the second winner bred by Mrs Patricia Keating out of the mare, a half-sister to two Graded winners.
