Wootton Bassett Colt Proves A Class Above Once Again

Swing For Me (3c Wootton Bassett - Sing For Me, by Siyouni) continued on an upward curve on Saturday when taking the Class 1 conditions race at Cagnes-Sur-Mer.

The Jean-Claude Rouget-trained bay came into the race having won three of his six starts, the most recent of which came over course and distance. Ridden to make all by Cristian Demuro, he was the last off the bridle and was shaken up at the two furlong marker. Quickening smartly, he ran on well under hands and heels to score by two lengths.

Another step up in class may now be on the cards for Swing For Me, who runs in the colours of Ecurie Antonio Caro. Bred by Louis Baudron, the son of Wootton Bassett was bought by his trainer as a yearling for €125,000.
