Incarville (Wootton Bassett) Wins The Prix De La Masseliere at Longchamp

Wootton Bassett Filly Battles For Back To Back Wins

Impressive maiden winner Incarville (2f Wootton Bassett - Ilhabela, by Azamour) followed up at Longchamp, when leading home a 1-2 for Wootton Bassett in the Prix de la Masseliere.

A four length winner over the same nine furlong trip earlier this month, the David Smaga-trained filly was sent off favourite for the Class 2 conditions race under Cristian Demuro. Leading the field, the grey quickened approaching the turn for home and was pushed along from two furlongs out. Drawing clear with Benita (Wootton Bassett), Incarville rallied to the line, where she prevailed by a head, as the pair drew five lengths clear of the field.

Owned by Gerard Augustin-Normand, Incarville was bred by Naji Nahas out of a winning half-sister to top-class miler Vahorimic and to the dam of St Leger heroine Voleuse De Coeurs.
