Trainer Oliver Greenall has his sights set on Newbury’s valuable Betfair Hurdle with Zalvados (5g Soldier Of Fortune-Zariyana, by Desert Prince) following the five-year-old’s win at Ludlow on Wednesday. The Soldier Of Fortune gelding saw off a dozen rivals to score by four and a half lengths under Ian Popham to the delight of connections. “Zalvados is a good horse,” said Greenall. “He'll go for the Betfair Hurdle and the strongly run race will suit him. He loves soft ground.”
