Champion sire Giant’s Causeway provided the second highest priced offering during the second session of the 2012 Keeneland September Yearling Sale when his colt from Questress sold for $550,000.

Consigned by Gainesway and purchased by Maverick Racing, the colt is a half brother to dual Grade I winner Pomeroy.

“He’s a very nice Giant’s Causeway and it looks like he has a stallion’s pedigree,” said Elliott Walden of WinStar Farm.

“His brother Pomeroy is a stallion already and doing a good job down in Florida. He’s nice, well balanced and very athletic.”
