War Front’s dual Group I winning son Declaration of War made a big splash at the 2015 Keeneland November Breeding Stock Sale when his stunning weanling filly from Hanky Panky sold for $800,000 during the second session.
Consigned by Hill ‘n’ Dale Sales, the blue-blooded filly was bought by Glen Hill Farm.
“Declaration of War, thus far, is the best son of War Front to retire to stud,” said Craig Bernick of Glen Hill Farm.
“The filly had a great walk and obviously a spectacular pedigree. We’re excited to have her.”
An athletic bay, the filly is the first foal of Group III placed Galileo mare Hanky Panky, a half-sister to champion racehorse and sire Giant’s Causeway and Group II winner You’resothrilling, the dam of Group I stars Gleneagles and Marvellous, both by Galileo.
Declaration of War also had weanling colts from Sky Garden, Quite Honestly and Needles and Pins sell for $150,000, $135,000 and $95,000 respectively giving him an average of $295,000.
