Chilean Grade I Double for Scat Daddy

Scat Daddy continues to dominate in Chile adding a pair of Grade I winners to the tally on the weekend with Dacita (2f Scat Daddy x Daja, by Seeker’s Reward) taking out the Clasico Polla de Potrancas and Il Campione (2c Scat Daddy x Global Gold, by Pleasant Tap) successful in the colt’s equivalent, the Clasico Polla de Potrillos.

Trained by Juan Silva, Dacita bolted away to win the 1700 metre feature by four and three-quarter lengths beating another Scat Daddy filly in Oshawa (2f Scat Daddy x Osezna, by Seeker’s Reward).

Dacita has won five races and placed twice from seven starts and is a half-sister to stakes-winner Lady Estefania from the good producer Daja.

Prepared by Sergio Inda, Il Campione posted his first Grade I success when scoring a resounding five length victory, his fourth win from five starts.

Il Campione is the first stakes-winner for his dam Global Gold, a grand-daughter of US Grade II winner Glowing Honor.

Il Campione is the ninth Grade I winner for Scat Daddy, who is excelling both North and South America.
