TDN Rising Star for Stay Thirsty

Opening his career with a scintillating debut victory at Keeneland on Thursday was Coal Front (3c Stay Thirsty x Miner’s Secret, by Mineshaft), who earned TDN Rising Star status for his eye-catching performance.

The Todd Pletcher trained colt was backed as if unbeatable and ran right up to expectation.

He jumped from an outside gate in the six furlong maiden and settled off the pace before moving up wide to hit the lead on the turn.

From there he exploded away to win by six and three-quarter lengths in a dominant display.

A $575,000 OBS April Sale purchase, Coal Front runs for Robert La Penta and is a half-brother to stakes-winner Conquest Titan from Miner’s Secret, a half-sister to Grade III winner Woodlander.
