Debut Winner for Giant

Lord Commander (Giant's Causeway) winning at Aqueduct

Todd Pletcher produced a smart debut winner for champion sire Giant’s Causeway when Lord Commander (3c Giant’s Causeway x Air Marshall by Silver Deputy) opened his account at Aqueduct on the weekend.

He was always in contention and forged clear to win the six furlong maiden by a length.

Lord Commander is a half-brother to Grade II placed Vivo Per Lei from stakes-placed Air Marshall, who comes from the family of Giant’s Causeway’s Grade I winning sire son First Samurai.
