Japanese Success for Giant

Giant’s Causeway has stretched his influence to every corner of the globe with Eishin Apollon (4h Giant’s Causeway x Silk and Scarlet, by Sadler’s Wells) taking out the Grade III Fuji Stakes in Tokyo at the weekend.

An American bred entire trained by Masahiro Matsunaga, Eishin Apollon won the 1600 metre contest by a head in a tight finish, his overall record three wins and four seconds from 13 starts.

Eishin Apollon is the first stakes-winner for the Grade II winning Sadler’s Wells mare Silk and Scarlet, whose dam is a half-sister to French Grade I winner and sire Sanglamore.
