Majestic Warrior Mare Impressive

Talented mare Lady Sabelia (4mMajestic Warrior x Terra Maria, by Citidancer) was third last year in the $100,000 Willa on the Move Stakes at Laurel and returned 12 months on to claim a resounding victory in the six furlong sprint.

Prepared by Robin Graham, Lady Sabelia jumped fast and found the front charting a course just off the running rail before opening up to win by more than seven lengths.

“We weren’t even worried about going to the lead,” said Robin Graham.

“We just wanted to get off the rail some. We thought she had enough speed. Horacio [Karamanos] did it well. This horse has had some problems with an eye. She runs with a bubble cup but we’ve been treating her and it hasn’t been a problem. We’re looking at a race at the beginning of January.”

Lady Sabelia has the ultra-consistent record of six wins and five placings from 12 starts earning nearly $280,000 in prizemoney.

A homebred for Mrs Frank Wright, Lady Sabelia is a half-sister to stakes-placed Jen’s Revenge being one of five winners from Terra Maria.
