New Stakes-Winner for Dunkirk

Talented gelding Conniption Fit (3g Dunkirk x Hidden Temper, by Miswaki) showed real promise last season and confirmed that potential when taking out the $50,000 Howard B Noonan Stakes at Beulah Park on the weekend.

Prepared by William Cowans, Conniption Fit was having his first start of 2014 following on from two runs last year which saw him win on debut by 10 lengths and then finish second in a Black Type event for Ohio breds back in October.

A homebred for Daniel Yates, Conniption Fit jumped fast and led throughout to win the six furlong dash by a length and looks set for a good campaign.

Conniption Fit is the third stakes-winner for last year’s Champion Freshman Sire Dunkirk.
