The progeny of Scat Daddy were keenly sought after at the OBS Spring Sale of 2YO’s with youngsters selling for $300,000, $280,000 and $250,000 on Wednesday.

Top seller at $300,000 was a colt from well related Dixieland Band mare Sunny that was consigned by Cary Frommer as agent and bought by Team D.

The colt only breezed in 11 seconds, but was still popular and proved a successful pinhook having been bought as a yearling for $162,000.

“We liked him a lot at the farm, but he wasn’t bunny rabbit fast and we knew he wasn’t going to work in :10 flat, but we also knew he was a nice horse and he’d been training great and he has a good mind,” said Cary Frommer.
