Mt White Farm
In late 2023, Coolmore purchased Strawberry Hill Stud in Mount White from John Singleton.
John had owned the property for over 40 years and during that time developed it into one of the finest boutique farms in the country, producing numerous champions including the famed Joie Denise and her line of daughters and granddaughters including Sunday Joy, Tuesday Joy and More Joyous.
Spelling
The farm also served as the spelling base for John’s racehorses when not in full work and it is the intention of Coolmore to focus the farm’s future in this direction.
Accordingly, Sean Keogh (formerly Godolphin’s foreman in Melbourne) came on board as the manager of the property and has taken the intervening time to establish the property primarily as a spelling farm.
Ideally Located
Mt White Farm is ideally located in close proximity to all Metropolitan tracks in Sydney (within 60 minutes), as well as Gosford, Wyong, Hawkesbury and Newcastle.
Set across 200 acres of prime pasture, the farm provides an environment for racehorses to rest and recover — whether for short stays or extended spells.
Facilities Commited to Elite Equine Care
In addition to its established infrastructure, Mt White Farm features upgraded training and rehabilitation facilities, including both a dry treadmill and an aqua treadmill/spa.
The dry treadmill supports conditioning and pre-training, allowing horses to build strength in a controlled environment, while the aqua treadmill is ideal for both pre-training and rehabilitation, reducing concussion on joints, relieving pressure, and promoting safe, low-impact recovery. With only a limited number of these systems available in Australia, Mt White Farm is proud to offer this advanced service as part of its commitment to elite equine care. Facilities also include a lunge ring, horse walker, barn, day yards, and expansive paddocks fitted with shelter sheds, ensuring comfort, safety, and optimal care in every season.
