$170,000 Saxon Warrior Filly at MM Adelaide
The equal highest priced filly sold at Magic Millions Adelaide on Tuesday in the first session was an athletic bay by Saxon Warrior that made $170,000.
Consigned by Sullivan Bloodstock, the star filly was bought by astute syndicators Proven Thoroughbreds in conjunction with leading Kembla Grange trainer Kerry Parker.
She is the third foal of Idyllic Mood, a placed three-quarter sister-in-blood by High Chaparral to Group I placed stakes-winner Whispered Secret from the family of dual Group I winner Prized Icon.
The filly was a successful pinhook having been bought for $60,000 by Bevan Smith Bloodstock/ Andrew Williams Bloodstock at the Inglis Great Southern Weanling Sale from her breeder Burnewang North.
The oldest Saxon Warrior progeny in Australia are two year-olds.
