$240,000 King’s Legacy Colt
Exciting young sire King’s Legacy has had some lovely yearlings sell this year for up to $775,000 and one of his second crop weanlings sold exceptionally well at the Magic Millions National Weanling Sale on Monday.
Consigned by Bell River Thoroughbreds, the colt from stakes-winning Jeune (GB) mare Star Encounter was bought by Byerley Bloodstock for $240,000.
Byerley Bloodstock is Liam Peters purchasing for his grand-father Bob Peters and this colt is from a family they know inside and out.
Star Encounter was bred and raced by Peters Investments and not only was a good racemare, but also a top producer for them delivering five winners from five foals to race headed by $1.5million earning two time Group II WATC Perth Cup winner Star Exhibit, Group II winner Perfect Jewel and stakes-winner Royal Star.
With Perfect Jewel and Royal Star both at stud for the Peters family they decided to sell Star Encounter in 2020 through Inglis Digital and she was bought by Ferguson Bloodstock for $105,000 with this King’s Legacy colt her first live foal for her new owners.
