$400,000 Colt for Saxon Warrior

Deep Impacts’ dual Group I winning son Saxon Warrior made a splash in the opening session at Magic Millions on Tuesday with his first yearling to be offered in the Southern Hemisphere.

The colt from Gypsy Chimes (USA) selling for $400,000 to Busuttin Racing/Group 1 Bloodstock.

Consigned by Coolmore, he is a half-brother to five winners including Group III placed Folk Dress and his dam is an imported winning half-sister to Group III winner La Chunga, the dam of stakes-winner Roheryn.

The star colt was bred by Ben Kwok, who has sent Gypsy Chimes back to Coolmore in subsequent years and she had a filly by Saxon Warrior last year and is now in foal to exciting young sire King’s Legacy.
