$95,000 for Saxon Warrior Colt
The first Australian bred foals by Deep Impact’s dual Group I winning son Saxon Warrior were offered at the Inglis Australian Weanling Sale on Thursday achieving pleasing results with a colt from High Harmony selling for $95,000.
Consigned by Redbank North and bought by K Doak, the stylish bay colt is the fourth foal of winning High Chaparral mare High Harmony, a full sister to stakes-winner Hippopus.
High Harmony returned to Coolmore last spring and was covered by Merchant Navy.
Also selling well for Erinvale Thoroughbreds was a Saxon Warrior colt from Hidden Away that made $78,000 when bought by Endless Power Pty Ltd.
He is the second foal of a well bred Sepoy mare that comes from the family of Group I winner Summer Passage, multiple Group II winners Shania Dane and Man From Uncle.
Saxon Warrior returns to Coolmore Australia this spring at a fee of $13,750.
