No Nay Never Adds US Pattern Success To Growing CV
Nay Lady Nay (3f No Nay Never - Lady Ederle, by English Channel) provided No Nay Never with a landmark win when taking the Grade 2 Mrs Rever Stakes at Churchill Downs on Friday.
The Chad Brown-trained filly became her sire’s first Graded winner in the US, having already achieved the feat in Britain, Chile, France, Ireland and Italy. She gained her maiden success at Monmouth Park just three months ago and went on to score black-type when taking the Parx Fall Oaks last month.
Her latest successful step up in class came by a winning margin of half a length, beating fellow European import Dalika into second, with previous Grade 2 scorer The Mackem Bullet finishing third. It saw her earnings rise to $265,180 for owners First Row Partners and Hidden Brook Farm.
Bred by Stephen Sullivan, she is a full-sister to Group 2 Coventry Stakes victor Arizona (No Nay Never), who was also placed at Group 1 level in the National Stakes and Dewhurst Stales.
