No Nay Never Colt Gains Deserved Maiden Win
Friday evening saw the Joseph O’Brien-trained Never Before (3c No Nay Never - Endure, by Green Desert) gain a well-deserved maiden success over seven furlongs at Dundalk.
Having claimed runners-up on three previous occasions, the chesnut received strong market support for the 14 runner maiden and was ridden in a prominent position by young Mikey Sheehy. He was travelling well with a furlong and a half left to race and was pushed out to win by a length and a half in comfortable fashion.
Bred and sold by Lynn Lodge Stud, Never Before was bought by his trainer and Aidan O’Ryan for 130,000gns as a yearling. The son of sire sensation No Nay Never is a half-brother to Listed scorer Bunker and black-type sprinter Imtiyaaz (Starspangledbanner).
