No Nay Never Newcomer Makes Smart Start
How Lovely (2f No Nay Never – Kodiva, by Kodiac) made a perfect start to her career in Thursday’s fillies’ novice stakes at Southwell.
Simon and Ed Crisford’s representative raced in second for much of the six furlong contest and led approaching the final furlong. Ridden inside the final furlong, she kept on well to win by a length and a half under Harry Davies. Previous winner Dear Cat (Churchill) took third, finishing five lengths clear of the fourth.
The daughter of No Nay Never is owned by Mrs Doreen Tabor and was bred by Newstead Breeding.
