Daughters Of Gleneagles In Demand At Tattersalls

Talented race filly Seisai (3f Gleneagles - Lillebonne, by Danehill Dancer) lit up the Tattersalls sales ring when selling to Charlie Gordon Watson and Lanes End Farm for 375,000gns.

Trained by Joseph O’Brien for Simon Munir and Isaac Souede, the daughter of Gleneagles won the Listed Coolmore Stud Churchill Stakes as a two-year-old and came close to Group 2 success in this year’s Kilboy Estate Stakes, when beaten half a length into second. Stakes-placed on five occasions in total, she achieved an official rating of 106, and boasts further appeal as a half-sister to Group performer Thornbrook (Saxon Warrior).

Diamond And Gold (Gleneagles) was the only other offering by her sire on the day and was knocked down to Timmy Hillman for 270,000gns.

The winning bay is closely related to the 109-rated Astronomer (Galileo) and their dam also has a yearling filly by Gleneagles to race.
