Decent Employer heads double for Camelot

Employer (3c Camelot-Close Regards, by Danehill) spearheaded a double for both in-form Camelot and trainer Hugo Palmer on Monday when winning a decent Windsor novices’ event.

Ibrahim Araci’s three-year-old, a €180,000 foal purchase bred by Pat and Eoghan Grogan, was having only his second ever outing as he justified favouritism to win the mile event comfortably under James Doyle

“His race at Kempton worked out well. Employer has been working nicely at home, he travelled sweetly there and quickened up well, showing a nice turn of foot. It rode like a nice race - we got racing from a long way out,” Doyle told the Racing Post.

Meanwhile, Bill and Tim Gredley’s colours were carried to victory in a Beverley novices’ event by the Palmer-trained Expensive Liaison (3f Camelot-Indigo Lady, by Sir Percy), a 155,000gns yearling purchase bred by Ringfort Stud and P Hancock.
