Fabre double for Camelot

Camelot had another two classy first-crop winners in France on Thursday to add his burgeoning record. Andre Fabre sent out King Of Camelot (2c Camelot-Miss Emma May, by Hawk Wing) to break his duck in style in a one-mile maiden at Lyon-Parilly under Pierre-Charles Boudot. Bred by Guy Heald, the colt had cost 320,000 euros as a yearling at Arqana last year.

Later on the same card, Fabre sent out Al Shaqab Racing’s Alhadab (2c Camelot-Grace Lady, by Muhtahthir), bred by Jean-Philippe Dubois, to capture the Prix Christian Rollet. Alhadab cost 180,000 euros as a yearling.
