Getaway Mare Makes Winning Debut At Dromahane
Roxhill Rosie (5m Getaway - Bellavic, by Old Vic) made a bright start to her career when running out a commanding winner of the five-year-old mares’ maiden at Dromahane.
The David O’Brien-trained mare was partnered by Simon Cavanagh on debut and raced towards the back of the field for much of the way. Making headway from three out, she took second before the penultimate fence and led soon after. Drawing clear from the final fence, she led by five lengths on the line.
Roxhill Rosie was bred by Mr PP Greaney and is owned by the Cairde Gaoil Syndicate.
