Grade 1 winner Mo Town to Ashford Stud

A brilliant two-year-old, Mo Town gained ‘TDN Rising Star’ status when graduating with a powerful performance at Belmont scoring by 7 lengths. Next out on his Stakes debut in the Grade 2 Remsen S., and first around two turns, Mo Town soared past his rivals with an impressive display to win unchallenged.

Mo Town’s success continued at three when romping at Belmont by 6½ lengths earning a 102 Beyer, on route to a producing a brilliant turn of foot to win the Grade 1 Hollywood Derby. “He’s simply awesome,” commented trainer Anthony Dutrow, “He went into the Hollywood Derby fantastic. When I breezed him before, it was an astonishing workout, and we went out there very confident in Mo Town and he was magnificent.”

“As a top juvenile, Grade 1 winner and exceptional looking son of super sire Uncle Mo, we are very excited to stand Mo Town here at Ashford,” said Dermot Ryan, “Uncle Mo has had yet another incredible year both on the racetrack and in the sales ring, so to stand one of his most impressive sons, who is very much in the mold of his sire, is great. Mo Town is at the farm and available for inspection, I would encourage everyone to come out to Ashford and see him for themselves.”

Mo Town will stand for $12,500 in 2019.
