Holy Roman Emperor Colt Records Comfortable Success

The Simon and Ed Crisford-trained Jadoomi (2c Holy Roman Emperor - South Sister, by Sakhee) built on previous promise to win Sunday’s seven furlong novice stakes at Wolverhampton.

Third on his two previous starts, the Sheikh Ahmed Al Maktoum-owned colt was sent off favourite on his third attempt and was ridden to chase the leader by Jack Mitchell. Asserting at the three furlong marker, he was shaken up to go clear approaching two furlongs out and scored comfortably by three and a quarter lengths, with a further five lengths back to the third horse.

Bred by Elevage du Moratalla, Jadoomi was bought by Federico Barberini as a yearling for €75,000. The son of Holy Roman Emperor is out of an unraced own-sister to French 2,000 Guineas victor Tin Horse.
