Diamondsareforever (Justify) Breaking Maiden At Dundalk

Justify Daughter Diamondsareforever Wins on Debut

Diamondsareforever (2f Justify x Diamondsandrubies, by Fastnet Rock) was another debut winner for Justify on Wednesday at Dundalk.

Covering a mile on the Irish synthetic track, Diamondsareforever raced just off the leaders a few paths off the rail as those two pressured each other up front. As they raced around the turn, Diamondsareforever was asked to step up the pace and rolled down the middle of the track to collar the leader.

She didn’t have the lead until the final sixteenth but that gave her more than enough time to win by 1 ¾ lengths for Willie Browne and owner Mrs. Richard Henry.

"I knew the way she travelled around into the straight she was going well, so I knew she would keep going at least," Browne told Irishracing.com. "He (Seamie Heffernan) was (complimentary about her) - he thinks she has a bit of quality."

Bred by Premier Bloodstock, Diamondsareforever is one of three winners out of Grade I winner Diamondsandrubies, who is also the dam of Grade III placed Diamond Sparkles. Diamondsandrubies herself is a daughter of Grade I winner Quarter Moon, the dam of four stakes performers and of the dam of Grade III winner and multiple Grade I placed Eminent.

Diamondsandrubies had a filly by No Nay Never last year and a colt by Justify’s fellow Triple Crown winner American Pharoah in 2022.

Justify’s 29 winners is second among all first crop sires with his six stakes winners, four graded stakes winners, and seven graded stakes performers best among his class.
