Maxios Mare Makes All To Double Up Over Hurdles

Ucanaver (6m Maxios - Purely By Chance, by Galileo) made all to record her third career success in the Mares’ Novices’ Hurdle at Ffos Las on Tuesday.

An impressive bumper winner last season, the Anthony Honeyball-trained mare made a smart hurdle debut on her seasonal reappearance and carried a penalty for that win on Tuesday. Rex Dingle asked his mount to quicken from three out and increased his urgings at the penultimate flight. Keeping on well, she justified favouritism by three parts of a length.

Bred by Lady Jennifer Green, Ucanaver hails from the second crop of Maxios, whose first crop conceived at Castlehyde Stud are now yearlings.
