More Stakes Success for Munnings Filly

Talented filly Please Flatter Me (3f Munnings x She’s Flattering, by Flatter) scored a third Black Type success when taking out the $100,000 Alma North at Laurel on the weekend.

Trained by Mark Reid for Heider Family Stables LLC, Madaket Stables LLC & Doheny Racing Stable, Please Flatter Me was well fancied following a good second in the Grade III Miss Preakness and raced right up to expectation.

She raced up on the pace and kicked clear turning for home before holding off a late challenge to win the seven furlong sprint by three-quarters of a length.

With four wins and a second from six starts, Please Flatter Me has already won over $250,000 in prizemoney.

“She’s an awful nice filly,” Mark Reid said. “She gives you everything she has, every trip over. I went in today with a lot of confidence.”
