New 2YO SW for Munnings
The Emerald Downs WTBOA Lads Stakes on Sunday was won in determined style by promising juvenile Muncey (2c Munnings x Camille C, by Roman Dancer).
Fourth on debut at the same venue last month, the Howard Belvoir trained Muncey hit the line hard after travelling in fourth position to win the six furlong contest by a neck.
Muncey runs for the same connections as Munnings’ high class Grade III winning son Barkley, who has won 10 of his 18 starts for them, so they will no doubt be hoping Muncey can follow in his footsteps.
The 32nd stakes-winner for Munnings, Muncey is the second winner from stakes-winner Camille C, who won over $400,000 on the track.
