Tuesday saw the Andre Fabre-trained Never Dies (2c No Nay Never - La Teranga, by Beat Hollow) run out an impressive winner of the Prix de la Thierache, a seven furlong maiden at Compiegne.

Beaten just three parts of a length on debut earlier this month, Moussa MBacke’s homebred was sent off favourite to go one better under Mickael Barzalona. Travelling the best of the field approaching the final furlong, he soon led and quickened clear under hands and heels to win by four lengths.

Stakes company undoubtedly becomes for Never Dies, who has a yearling half-sister by Wootton Bassett.
